Givenchy Vintage Pendant Necklace 1970s An amazing vintage piece from the 1970s Givenchy archive.
Made in 1977, his incredible pendant features a long snake chain with an oversized pendant crafted from rich black and red lucite and inlaid with the gold plated Givenchy logo.
Givenchy are known for producing timelessly chic jewellery throughout the 70s and 80s which are now highly sought after and collectable.
Founded by Hubert de Givenchy in 1952, Audrey Hepburn, was Givenchy's greatest muse and wore the label in some her most famous roles, including Breakfast at Tiffany's.
By the 1970s, on the advice of Cristóbal Balenciaga, Givenchy arrived on New York's Fifth Avenue in 1976, diversifying into accessories and shoes.
1977 -1981 was a heyday for Givenchy jewellery where quality and design were impeccable and pieces from that era are particularly collectable.
