An absolutely incredible vintage women's mid length evening dress, from the 1980s by legendary French designer and couturier. Louis Feraud, this true haute couture dress with the original couture label is a real museum worthy piece, fully made by hand in Feraud's atelier with astonishing craftsmanship. The bodice is made out of a sheer black silk crepe with thousands of beads done by hand to create an intricate floral design, looking almost like a stained glass window, with beaded 3D flower appliques giving a luxurious look.
There are long renaissance style sleeves which have large shoulder pads that, rather than adding bulk, create a feminine puff at the top of the sleeve which then tightens down to the wrists and pointed cuffs. The black organza skirt flows out from the pointed bodice creating a full, hourglass shape with lots of movement. Down the back are delicate beaded button and loop bridal style button fastenings. This would be perfect for a collector or as a dramatic cocktail / evening dress.
