An amazing mens blazer jacket / sport coat from the 90s by Japanese born, Italian fashion designer, Giuliano Fujiwara. Fujiwara has a typically Japanese understated, minimalist design aesthetic, despite being based in extravagant Milan, but with an American Ivy League influence. The 'Encyclopedia of Fashion' website says of Fujiwara, 'The Fujiwara style is a curious mixture of American Ivy League, Japanese stark simplicity, and Italian sensitivity in fabrication and workmanship'. This is a great example of all this, with a letterman inspired knit collar on a simply cut jacket with impeccable tailoring, in a half lined wool blend fabric. With slightly structured shoulders which give a more masculine silhouette and shaped stud details next to the single breasted buttons. Perfect for a layered, avant garde look in the day or as an interesting twist on a dinner jacket at a party.
