This important and very collectible Emilio Pucci blouse from the S/S 1959 "Botticelliana" collection is made of a beautiful silk twill featuring the iconic and very detailed "La Caccia" print inspired by Botticelli's "Stories of Nastagio degli Onesti" from 1483. The "La Caccia" print and its history are well documented in Taschen's Pucci book. The blouse features a generous straight cut with side slits and long billowing sleeves with buttoned cuffs. Five original fabric-covered buttons to the front; the original cuff buttons are missing and have been replaced. 100% silk, unlined, with many hand-sewn details. Made in Italy. Reference photo by Giulio Guzzoni/Emilio Pucci Archive, Florence, via Taschen's Pucci book. Silk scarves with the "La Caccia" print in various colourways are held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and by the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
